Coed Darcy
A former oil refinery site, the site was faced with challenging topography and an exposed landscape. The concept for a new community had been accepted and an outline permission had been granted subject to a range of design and delivery strategies. A Town Architect had been appointed, the Prices Trust heavily engaged and the local planning authority seeking to achieve the best possible form of development resulted in an overly complex, contradictory suite of detailed design guidance.
A first phase of development had been approved in advance and constructed, but not to the standard aspired to by the LPA or stakeholders.
Working with all stakeholders, seeking to deliver a viable but attractive scheme through Reserved Matters, we acted in a mediation and planning capacity to secure agreement on a scheme and permission was subsequently granted.
